some stuff:
-i turned 19 (it was great)
-i started college lol i don't think i ever mentioned here. it's been fun so far. no art this semester, though.
-i have seen scott pilgrim twice and i could still see it again, it's so cool. i like it a lot better than the comics, honestly (though it is sad the characters aren't as developed. i think ramona particularly suffered here).
-i'm not gonna move to dreamwidth or whatever, but i am gonna be a bit more locked up. not like i'm not pretty f-locked already.
-http://echobazaar.failbettergames.com/ is really addicting goddamn. you guys should play it. (i'm buffdrinklots duhh)
-i've been playing deadly premonition and it's hysterical. the dungeon designs, however, are legit spooky (but the enemy sound effects kinda kill it ahahaha), and it does have some interesting elements that make me interested in seeing how it turns out. it certainly doesn't take itself too seriously, though (but i always appreciate that).
-[livejournal.com profile] tigerboat and i have been watching doctor who (2005). it's really great, i'm all into it. we just got to where tennant comes in. i was kind of surprised that it's so... unserious. i mean, i didn't expect it to be real serious, exactly, but i guess i'm just so used to sci-fi being all hard-boiled and generic that i assumed the same thing for this. it's really creative and funny, though.
-i really thought there was something else (that i can mention publicly) but i can't remember

anyway, it's been ages since i've done an art post

WELL NOW I CAN'T STOP PLAYING PERSONA 4
I'M NEVER GONNA FINISH ANYTHING GODDAMN EVERYBODY JUST GIVE UP ON ME (but dox everyone already did that a long time ago)

it's fantastic so far and really addicting and you get pretty attached to the characters, and stat-building is actually interesting since it unlocks new stuff about them. i keep getting impatient during dungeons because i'm like I WANNA GO HOME AND MAKE ENVELOPES
it's an interesting premise, too; getting into people's heads to prevent them from being murdered. i was hoping it'd be more of a psychological thriller sort of thing than it is, though, but it's still a good game and i'm very interested in how it unfolds (i'm working through the third dungeon).

it's also a pretty convenient game. i dunno that i've ever had a game where you can leave a dungeon, come back, and warp to the last floor you reached. i also like that it just skips past a lot of stuff (i.e. school) and isn't mini-game central, since i was actually kind of worried about that. although, it can get ridiculously frustrating when the protag gets killed by an instakill move/enormous combo and you have to go back to whatever your save point was (and that can happen pretty often if you don't pay attention).

anyway i don't have any really important thoughts on it right now (or nothing i can't flesh out at the moment, anyway), so i guess i'll just have to beat it before i get too carried away. i already have about a dozen fanart ideas...

what else was i gonna say? eh whatever

EDIT: NO WAIT I REMEMBER NOW
